Feb31st, as its name suggests, is all about making the implausible a reality. Innovative and high quality optical frames are made from wood, an ancient and traditional material. The result of this contradiction is sensual, light and contemporary. Made of the certified FSC ecologically harvested wood species, bolivar and kauri, you even have the ability to totally personalise the colours of the many different layers of the frame.
Feb31st has achieved something few have with wooden frames, the combination of the naturalness of the wood and the energy of colour gives you a frame that’s raw and unlike anything else. Weighing just 21g these Italian designed and made frames are for everybody out there looking for something different. Beautifully styled, lightweight and thoughtfully designed they can be as original and unique as their owner.
The brand’s eyewear is produced in a Northern Italian factory that has specialised in wood for many years, only the highest grade of which is used for Feb31st’s collections. Designer Valerio Cornetti has cleverly overcome the bugbears that have put many optical designers off using wood in their collections. The issue of breakage during the glazing process has been eliminated by the invention of a patented screw system, and an oil based coating is applied as a finish to prevent colour fade.
In addition to our regular in house collection, Feb31st’s sophisticated (and highly guarded secret) production process allows for a unique customization service, allowing customers to create a sequence of colours for their frame. There are 7 natural and 24 dyed finishes available which can be used to produce a seemingly endless choice of combinations. There is even the option to have a name, logo or signature engraved into your design, so it can be as original and unique as you are.
